This oil painting makes me content just to gaze at the stripes. If you look closely you’ll see that there are unpainted stripes - showing the creamy white primer on the canvas. These are not painted white as I wanted the painting to have a relationship with the viewer - it’s almost unfinished and you need to ‘fill in the blanks’.
